Joe Shirley

Having joined JGC in 2020, Joe has overseen the delivery of a diverse range of projects, with a particular focus on decarbonisation and retrofit.

Joe studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath, graduating with a Master of Engineering Degree (MEng) in 2014. Joe is an experienced engineer in the fields of mechanical, electrical and public health services design. His project background spans multiple sectors, including healthcare, student accommodation, residential, historic retrofit and higher education facilities.

Joe enjoys working on technically challenging projects and embraces the collaboration needed to achieve a balanced solution that respects the often-competing requirements of system efficiency, complexity, and cost. He has extensive experience in overseeing the delivery of projects from the conceptual briefing stage through to detailed technical design, on-site delivery, and completion.
